My Story
I'm Catherine, a personal stylist and certified image consultant with over 20 years of styling experience and a lifetime love of shopping. Let's just say I've been shopping since before I could walk. Some of my earliest happy memories are exploring department stores with my mom and playing dress-up with my friends.
I turned that passion into a career doing closet consultations, shopping trips, and custom boutique try-on sessions with real women. Along the way, I realized something: most women aren't looking for a makeover. They want to feel more confident, more pulled together, and more like themselves. They want to stop staring at a full closet feeling like they have nothing to wear, and start looking in the mirror thinking, "Yes, this is me!"
I built Style Star to bring that experience to every woman. A personal stylist at your fingertips who really knows your style, answers your questions, and helps you find what suits you with confidence.
My approach is rooted in the idea that style lives on a spectrum. Some women lean classic, others trendy. Some feel best in effortless simplicity, others come alive in glamour and boldness. Your style is a melody, a beautiful combination of notes that make you you.
My favorite moments are when a client tries something on and everything clicks. You can feel the energy in the room change. That's the magic: when your clothes match who you actually are, not what a trend or a brand tells you to be. That's when we shine brightest, simply by being ourselves.
Sometimes the smallest adjustment changes everything. One notch more polished. One notch more relaxed. One notch more bold. The goal is alignment. I'm here with thoughtful guidance to help you become your own style star.
Here's something most people don't realize about shopping: 99% of what's in any given store is going to be a no. That's not failure. That's fashion. It brings your own intuition into sharper focus and makes shopping for the real you fun and easy. I always tell my clients that new clothes are like fresh flowers, meant to be enjoyed now, not saved for someday. There's a real lift that comes from wearing something fresh. It raises our vibration, and that energy is the most beautiful thing we can wear.

What if I don't know what my style is?
That's exactly why Style Star exists. You don't need to have it all figured out. That's our job. We help you discover what suits your personality, lifestyle, and preferences, so shopping feels easier, getting dressed feels faster, and every piece you bring home brings out the best in you. Your discernment, combined with our expertise, is where your style comes to life.
What makes Style Star different?
Style Star was created by me, Catherine, a personal stylist of over 20 years. It's not a faceless algorithm. It's real styling from a real stylist who genuinely cares, brought to you with expertise and love. And where most style advice pushes everyone toward the same trends and brands, I start with you. Instead of asking "What's fashionable?" I ask "What feels most like you?" I'm not here to tell you what's beautiful. I'm here to help you recognize what feels beautiful to you, and shine a light on exactly that.
Is this a real stylist or AI, and does anyone see what I share?
It's both a real stylist and AI, and everything you share stays completely private. I'm Catherine, and I created Style Star's AI stylist to think the way I do, trained on my own approach and philosophy. Your photos, chats, and details like your sizes, colors, and your likes and dislikes are understood only by our AI to find the perfect shopping ideas for you. No person at Style Star, including me, ever has access to any of your details. It's just for you.
Is my information private?
Yes. We use your details only to personalize your styling and save your results, we never sell them, and you can read exactly how we handle everything in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Do I have to take the quiz?
Not at all. You're welcome to chat with your stylist, analyze a photo, or browse and shop anytime. The quiz helps us understand the nuances of your style so everything feels more personal, but it's completely optional.
What is my Style Portrait?
Your Style Portrait is a snapshot of your personal style from the quiz. It highlights your natural preferences and becomes the foundation for the guidance, shopping ideas, and advice you'll get throughout the app.
How does Style Star help me build my wardrobe?
Style Star includes a list feature, called Your Wardrobe, to help you build a complete, well-rounded closet. I took the same checklist I use in my real closet consultations and turned it into an easy wishlist, so you can tap a heart on anything you’d love to add and see at a glance what would round out your closet. Then just tap anything you’d like for shopping ideas matched to your style, or peek at What’s Trending to see what’s fresh right now.
Can I share my results?
Yes, and we'd love that! After the quiz, you'll get two beautiful keepsakes to share: your Style Constellation, a star map of your signature style, and your Style Mood Board, a collage of your style vibe. Text either one to a friend or post it on Instagram. It's a fun way to celebrate your style, and to invite the women you love to discover theirs.
Can I upload a photo for style advice?
Yes. Share an outfit or a piece you're considering, and your stylist will give you thoughtful feedback to elevate the look while keeping it true to you. Your photo is processed in real time and never stored on our servers.
Can I retake the quiz or change my results?
Yes, as many times as you want. Your style can evolve, and your results can grow right along with it.
How do I get my results back on another device?
Just your email. You don't need to create a password or remember anything. Simply save your results with your email address and you can pick up right where you left off, on any device.
Can I add Style Star to my phone like an app?
Yes! You can add Style Star to your home screen so it opens full-screen with its own icon, just like an app. No app store needed. πŸ“²

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Style Star collects, how we use it, and your choices.

What we collect

When you save your results, we collect your email address, quiz answers, style portrait, and any preferences you share (sizes, colors, etc.). Your conversations with your stylist and any photos you share are handled by AI in real time to give you instant help. They are private, never read or viewed by anyone at Style Star, and your photos are never stored on our servers. Your chat history is saved only on your own device, so you can pick up where you left off. It never touches our servers, and only you can see it. You can clear it anytime by starting a fresh conversation.

How we use it

We use your information to save your style details so you can access them across devices, to personalize your shopping suggestions, and to send you occasional styling updates. We never sell or share your personal information with third parties.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how Style Star is used, in simple, anonymous numbers. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.
