Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Style Star collects, how we use it, and your choices.
What we collect
When you save your results, we collect your name and email address, your quiz answers, your style results, your style portrait and motto, any preferences you share (sizes, fit, colors, things you never want to wear, and any notes you add), and the items you save to Your Wardrobe List.
Your conversations with your stylist and any photos you share are sent to our AI provider to be understood in the moment, so you get an answer straight away. They pass through our systems to get there but are not kept: we do not store your photos or the text of your chats, and no one at Style Star reads them.
Your chat history, including any photos in it, is saved on your own device so you can pick up where you left off. Only you can see it, and you can clear it anytime by starting a fresh conversation.
How we use it
We use your information to save your style details so you can reach them from any device, to personalize your shopping suggestions, and to send you occasional styling updates. We never sell your personal information, and we never share it with anyone who wants to market to you.
Where your information goes
Style Star is run by a small number of trusted companies, and we think you should know which ones. Anthropic provides the AI (Claude) that reads your photos and chats and writes your styling advice. Supabase hosts the secure database that stores your saved results. MailerLite sends your emails and holds your name and email address. Netlify hosts the site and receives your name and email when you save. Plausible gives us simple, anonymous visitor numbers and does not use cookies or track you across other sites.
Each of them only ever handles your information so they can do that job for us, under their own security commitments. We do not send your information anywhere else.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how Style Star is used, in simple, anonymous numbers. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.
Affiliate links
Some product links on Style Star are affiliate links. When you make a purchase through these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never influences which items we recommend.
Your choices
You can use Style Star without saving your results or providing an email. If you have saved your results and would like them deleted, email us at hello@stylestar.app and we will remove them promptly, both from the database that holds your results and from our email list. You can also unsubscribe from any email we send using the link at the bottom of it.
If you live in California
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it (it is all set out above), the right to ask for a copy of it, the right to ask us to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information, and we never have, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, email us at hello@stylestar.app and we will take care of it.
Children's privacy
Style Star is made for adults and teens. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
